So, it is with great pride we are please to announced the re-brand of Rise Above Theatre. It has been 4 and 1/2 years since we were last on the scene, and 2 years since the "Scandal of Rise Above started". We are all about new beginnings - and believe you will be excited and are too.As such, we are going back to our roots - plays that have thought-provoking lines, twists, turns, and can help make you enjoy life more. We will RISE ABOVE the controversy, that is before us. We know that those who have caused this will not suddenly go away, but we can not hide or be anything but the best - we will get back to the top. Whats good theatre without a bit of controversy? Stay tuned for our mission statement, core values, and more in the coming months. We, will, with your support and public, make things right. For now, we are please to announce that our first show of 2015, opening in April will be the return of "Fact or Fiction: An Incredible Journey"

Things are starting to kick in high gear! Our new show "RATMO: An Incredible Journey" (an original) will open June 22nd, 2013 (yes we know that a Saturday) - but it will be amazing! The story revolves around the company when it was 401-3(c) has memories and scenes from our first 11 shows, and even pokes fun at some of the things we learned, and the company stalkers! Cast is secure, and as soon as the logo for the new company is done and copyrighted (hopefully within a week) - the new page that ya'all have been invited to will be launched!

To Whom it May Concern:

This will be my only message posted here on Facebook; in response to the written assault that' been taking place by former performers of the now defunct Rise Above Theatre.

First, we have received several complaints from our audience, and current feature performers about the continual written assaults via email, postings on this page, the internet and the like. So we sent out a message to them today, we would cleanup the page and delete those that do not belong - posted both by Kenne and the former performers

Yes, indeed the board put out a message this morning about a video recording of an event that took place during preshow during our Freshman season. One - you contract clearly states video and photography use and your consent to it. The video was in RE to a former performer's physical/verbal harassment; nothing else.

Thirdly, John has asked to let it be known that he was not affiliated with Rise Above, so the matters you have, have nothing to do with him; as the new company is a LLC, and thus by law, needs a board or advisors; and he serves n that board, to help Kenne not make the same financial mistakes he did with Rise Above.

Finally, as promised, we will continue to delete the comments posted on this page, as long as they are being posted, as we assert to keep this page professional; once the new page is launched with the LLC company, this page will be private page. Since no one of these upset former performers have worked with this company, by law, they can no verbally attack or say bad things about the company. They, can however voice their opinions about Kenne and personal matters as much as they want; as long as the LLC company is kept out of it.

Again, we do apologize that some former cast members didn't have the best experience with Rise Above, but you can always learn and apply concepts from mistakes and bad experiences, which Kenne has been doing with the rebrand and new company - he has taken on a motto of "Drama should be kept on the stage"

We wish nothing but good luck for these talented former performers of Rise Above, in all their future endeavors.
