I worked at KC101 and AM 1300 WAVZ between 1979-1993 WKCI "Stereo I Land" became KC101 FM. 13 WAVES became AM 1300 WAVZ. Both were located in the Montowese section of North Haven, CT from 1979-1993

WKCI "Stereo I Land" was a beautiful music format for many years. On July 14th 1979 WKCI-FM 101.3 became KC101-FM. WAVZ 'Waves" "13 Waves" "Lucky 13" was located at 152 Temple Street In New Haven, CT. WAVZ became AM 1300 WAVZ "The Music Of Your Life" station. The stations were owned by Kops-Monohan Communications, Inc. until 1982 They were sold to Eastern Broadcasting Corporation out of State Coll

ege, PA In 1986 they were sold to Noble Broadcasting Group, San Diego,CA. In 1991 they were sold to Clear Channel Radio. The stations moved to Radio Towers Park in Hamden, CT in the Summer of 1993.
