Freddie Herron Singer/songwriter/performer: alt-rock/country singer/songwriter

Taking another piece of last Wednesday’s set at Moon City Pub into the studio this week. 🎤🎸

This is an original track I’ve been working up, and it’s officially next in line for full band tracking in Studio One.

Back on stage at Moon City Pub tonight—come grab a drink and hear the full version live! 🍻🤘

Quick question for the feed: What kind of energy should we lean into for the studio drums on this one—keep it stripped-down and acoustic, or go full 90s alt-rock wall-of-sound? Let me know below. 👇

Taking a swing at a classic. A little snippet of “Patience” by Guns N’ Roses live from Moon City Pub last Wednesday. 🎤
Full electric band tracks are coming together in the studio right now. Stay tuned. 🤘⚡

Part 2: Scratch vocals for “Embrace.” Laying down the temporary vocal tracks in Studio One to guide the rest of the mix. Real vocals come later, but brick by brick, this song is coming together.

Starting at step one with a new track called “Embrace.” Setting up PreSonus, dialing in a scratch drum loop (because click tracks kill the vibe), and getting ready to lay down the core rhythm guitar line. One small piece of the project every day.

Back in the groove! Dropping a quick update with my son Levi as he gets ready for dorm life.

We’ve officially kicked off a new joint project called HUR.RON — blending electronic, metal, and rock. We already have two tracks in the works and a lot more coming over the next year!

Stay tuned for some behind-the-scenes clips of what we’re cooking up! 🎸🔊

Bringing this one out of the vault... Meet Copperhead. Every guitar has a story, and this Jackson has one. 🐍⚡️

Dropping some fresh tone clips and new music breakdowns later this week!

Found this gem from an acoustic show at Axehead Brewery!
Got my son Levi holding down the rhythm on the cajón, and my daughter Roslyn joining me on vocals for “The Scientist” by Coldplay.
Just got back from an awesome weekend on the river with no cell service. Hope everyone had a great weekend! 🛶⚡️

Throwback to practice #2 with the band. This one is an original called “Fly Away,” written back in 2014/2015—the last song I wrote before a 10-year songwriting drought. Amber filmed this clip, and yes, she still takes full credit for being the muse! 😂❤️

Life comes at you fast. Between one of my sons in a motorcycle accident and getting another son set for his freshman year of college, music took a back seat for a couple weeks. Family first, always.

Back at it now. Here is Part 2 of “Sentimental Lie”—a song I wrote back in 1998 after walking away from my old band. Got the verse and the first pre-chorus down into this piece to finish the story.

Thanks for sticking with me. More music on the way. 🎸

This one goes all the way back to 1998. I wrote it during a massive crossroads right after leaving my last rock band, long before starting the project I’m pouring myself into now. Some of these old acoustic pieces just carry a different kind of weight.

(Stick around till the end for a reality check from my wife, Amber. Gotta love a behind-the-scenes cameo of her rescuing me from a bug in my hair mid-song. 😂🐜)
