"Nietzsche and the Horse" (painted with my blood)
What led Nietzsche to madness before he died was the urge to embrace a horse he witnessed being beaten by a coachman. The sadness and empathy he felt for the animal shut him down for good. Perhaps this is the essence of philosophy, realizing mankind is the true cancer of this world.
