Our Nadia Stieglitz will be starting another session of Handbuilding in Clay next week-Tuesdays beginning 8/11 at 5:30pm. She is an accomplished artist and a dedicated teacher. Students will work through multiple techniques creating sculpture and functional ceramics. Beginners and all levels welcome.

JOIN US IN CONJUNCTION WITH MARIA WHITE STUDIOS THIS WEEKEND FOR THE FIRST AMERICAN CRAFT CONFERENCE NATIONAL OPEN STUDIOS WEEKEND ✨
We are so excited to join our friend Maria White in representing Charleston, SC for this great opportunity through American Craft Council to share our work and process with the public. Both studios will have wheel-throwing demos as well as other elements of studio practice. Additional to Clay, we have Textile and Mixed Media work through the art of Kristine Weilbacker Hanson and Susan Gregory | Ceramist • Painter. Maria White Studio and Studio Union are less than 3 miles from each other with a straight shot north driving the Charleston peninsula. Hours are 12-5pm Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19.

We are sad to share that Studio Union has lost a beloved one of our community.
Equal parts F-bomb chum and father figure that you wanted to make proud, Sam Woodward has been one of our ceramic artists for many years.
He had a tender heart and was beloved by us and our children. With a curious mind, he was constantly learning about his ceramics practice that was skilled and elegant. He also dealt out wisdom from his most-interesting-man-alive experiences. Despite any deadline, you learned to stop and lap up whatever advice he was giving.

Rest in peace and ‘Be Good’, Sweet Sam. We hope you catch that perfect pot in your next adventure.

Join us and Celia Cerasoli, chef and friend in clay, as she offers artist Ugo Tesoriere’s skilled and stunning collection of works.
Ugo and Celia met through her involvement with Mepkin Abbey and her travels with the monks to Rome. They became fast friends and in the years after his passing, Celia has been a steward of this collection and is ready to honor Ugo’s wish for his art to be in the public’s hands.
