What is a Bingo promotion?

A Bingo promotion is a game played by an entire community (like the residents of Anchorage!) at one time. Bingo games are typically facilitated by a local newspaper, like the Anchorage Daily News, for example. Bingo cards are printed and distributed with the newspaper (this typically happens on a Sunday, when single-copy sales are highest), and call numbers are printed within the pages of subsequent editions of the paper. Like traditional Bingo, players mark squares off their individual Bingo card as the numbers are “called” (or in this case, printed). The first player to get an entire column, row, or diagonal wins the game...
