The Post Card-Banner Project was developed by the Vermont Arts Exchange in collaboration with BeHeard.World, a Boston based creative collective of dancers, poets and film makers.
This wall banner is part of a public art project in partnership with the Bennington County Multiculture Community Center (Jack Rossiter-Munley), the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team at the Southwestern Vermont Supervisory Union (Jess Bouchard) and the Alliance for Community Transformations (Dare Chammings).
Through these partners, post cards were sent out to area youth and adults that asked two questions….
“What Does Social Injustice Look and Feel like to You? and “What does Social Justice Look and Feel Like to You?”
The post card replies came back and were composed in this image here with help from Graphic Designer Leslie Noyes. It was printed by GVH Studio and installation supported by Building Trades at Southwest Tech (Brian C***s).
Big thanks to the Bennington Theater, where it calls home and funding from the New England Foundation for the Arts. Now on to next steps, next questions and ACTION!
