On October 1, 1999, the Slover family took over and the theatre underwent a major renovation. Every part of the building was improved without sacrificing the distinctive character of this 1941 Art Deco theatre. The theatre reopened in December 1999. It is now owned and operated by the Walker family, who took over in May of 2006.

ROXANNE screens today (6/14) at 3pm!

In this modern take on Edmond Rostand's classic play "Cyrano de Bergerac," C. D. Bales (Steve Martin) is the witty, intelligent and brave fire chief of a small Pacific Northwest town who, due to the size of his enormous nose, declines to pursue the girl of his dreams, lovely Roxanne Kowalski (Daryl Hannah). Instead, when his shy underling Chris McConnell (Rick Rossovich) becomes smitten with Roxanne, Bales feeds the handsome young man the words of love to win her heart.

Every movie starts with a story at the North Bend Theatre. Just prior to each of the Love & War movies, our resident film experts, Kevin & Beth, will share the amazing stories behind these great films, giving you a whole new way to connect to the movie.

Slow-witted Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) has never thought of himself as disadvantaged, and thanks to his supportive mother (Sally Field), he leads anything but a restricted life.
