Dear Familes,

​It is with great sadness that we must announce the closing of the Platinum Performing Arts Center. Beginning with the 2020 shut downs as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the continued uncertainty surrounding the future of our business and how it moves forward in a post pandemic world we have had to reflect and come to this incredibly difficult decision. Unfortunately, the entertainment and arts industries have been one of the hardest hit and many small businesses like ours have found themselves in this situation.
​We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful families for your support through the toughest part of our ownership. Our journey began as a shared dream of two women who grew up engulfed in a passion for the art of dance, and really developed in to something beautiful serving, teaching and inspiring young women and men each week. We are extremely humbled that so many families embraced our business and we were able to thrive. Over the past 5 years we have been lucky enough to provide dance education to so many families, and if you know us you know, that this process involves so much more than learning steps. It has been an absolute pleasure for us to teach your children and we feel so fortunate to have done so each and every week.
​We will miss “our kids” more than we can put into words and wish them all good things for their bright futures ahead. We realize that NONE of this could have been possible without your support and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for that.

With heavy hearts, we must announce the passing of our beloved Miss Billie.

Miss Billie played many roles at our studio. Secretary. Seamstress. Errand fairy. Maid. Company Mem. Overall “saver of the day” on many occasions. The impact that Miss Billie had on our studio (and our ability to run one in the first place), our dancers and their families is immeasurable. She genuinely treated every dancer who walked through our door as if they were her own. If your tights ripped backstage, Miss Billie had an extra of every color in every size. If you left your prop at home, Miss Billie would be in the dumpster behind the performance venue with a hot glue gun and (magically) everything you needed to assemble a new one. Every season she would decorate our studio with Christmas trees, hearts, leprechauns, flowers, Easter bunnies, flags. No holiday was too small. Before you ever asked her to. Everything she did was before you asked her to do it. She did things for the right reasons. She was unwaveringly selfless, thoughtful and bold and she would encourage you to be the same way. We encourage these traits in our dancers and they are traits we should all exemplify. We can all learn from how Miss Billie lived and loved.

Please share any photos and memories you have of Miss Billie. She hated getting her picture taken but definitely created a lot of cherished, memorable moments.

This is a photo of Kid’s Day in North Attleboro, 2016. Earlier this morning Heather and I had found out that the space we had rented for our new studio was unusable and we were desperately touring potential available spaces. We were distraught and distracted but knew we had to put this event on. Without Billie, this day (and countless others) wouldn’t have happened.

We ask that you continue to please keep the Phillips family in your thoughts.

Congratulations to our extraordinary Seniors, Maya and Ashley!! It has been an honor and a privilege to watch these two young ladies grow into such kind, intelligent, and strong young women. The praise we could sing about these two is endless and we cannot wait to continue celebrating you this month. We are so proud of you and SO excited to see the impact you both make in this world. We love you!🦋🌸♥️

We’re so grateful for the memories we were able to make this season. Even though it was cut short, our Company dancers made us more proud than ever. The support they show one another inspires us every day!
