If you’re a knitter who also swoons over quilts, this one is going to feel like home. Designer Tanis Gray (), a quilter herself, created the Barn Star Hat as an ode to the bold, geometric barn stars that decorate barns across the Midwest. The result is a joyful, graphic, colorwork hat that’s as fun to knit as it is to wear.

Our new Barn Star Hat Yarn Bundle includes two Fi*****ng Shawl Balls: one each of Oyster and Big Top.

Designed by Sara Lucas, the Trackside Sweater is one of those pieces that feels timeless but still fresh. This is a great first sweater project with no complicated techniques. Twisted rib “tracks” frame the top and bottom edges, giving structure to a semi‑fitted silhouette.

Soldotna is a top‑down cropped yoke sweater by Caitlin Hunter, given the full gradient treatment in Freia Yarns. It’s easy to modify to suit your preferred body length and the gradients make every version feel unique. The timeless style is one many customers come back to again and again. Our sweater kits continue to be a best seller!

Each Soldotna bundle contains enough Ombré Sport and Semi‑Solid balls to make the size as written. If you prefer a longer body, you may need a bit more yarn. For guidance, the XL kit shown had enough yardage to add an extra 5″ to the body length.

Tina has knit this sweater more than once, and it remains one of her favorite ways to play with color combos. It’s approachable for adventurous beginners, engaging for advanced knitters, and endlessly customizable.

We love to see Freia Yarns used in weaving projects! Repost from Deborah Silver ( ), "Check out my project in the Fall issue of Handwoven magazine. It's two woodland creatures woven in split-shed summer and winter on 4 shafts. The pattern weft for both pieces use one gradient ball of wool from Freia Fine Handpaint Yarns.
(Note: you don't need a floating selvedge. Just put the doubled ends through shaft 1.)"

Another - designed by .zip - knit up in two Freia gradients - Tijuana Teal and Orchid. So on one side it’s black and white, on the other it’s teal and purple.. and dotty all over. I have one more on the needles - and more being made by the gals at the studio - we’re dot|top crazy!!
