Ran into my favorite Gal, Civil Rights Icon (and birthday twin) the Honorable Mrs.Xernona Clayton while celebrating 60 years of , a Black Founded Publication that has always had a genuine pulse on Atlanta.

There are those who have never waited for anyone’s approval to do what’s right especially for marginalized people. It is imperative we continue to support Black Founded Organizations so that thier trailblazing work doesn’t go in vain.

We owe it to our elders!

I started this work years ago by highlighting artists, chefs and musicians. It has since evolved into the present day consulting agency practice you see.

Far too often in Black culture, we come across organizations, institutions, and Brands that capitalize off of us and will even go as far to attempt to underfund and micromanage us.

This weekend I was among five creators to have received the Inaugural .atl ‘Creatives of Color Conference: ‘Flowers’ Honoree Award’ for our contributions to the arts and cultural landscape of Atlanta.

To every client and supporter near and far that has ever hired us for consulting and program development services and reinforced our mission to fairly and authentically place Black Artists by a Black ‘ Founded’ Organization, you are appreciated!

Doing so while being Mother and Entrepreneur has been no small feat yet I’ve been dedicated to shattering every glass ceiling that put in my way, for my people, as we battle the erasure of our impact.

To be seen by the culture and community I serve most is the Highest Honor.
