We are partnering with the incomparable Terry Buffalo Ware for the release of his autobiography. "Man with Guitar and Amp: A Sideman’s Memoir" documents one musician’s journey from a February night in 1964 when a lightning bolt went through him watching The Beatles on the family TV to a morning exactly fifty years later when he found himself standing on that very same stage at the Ed Sullivan Theater to play The Late Show with David Letterman. Come by on Thursday, June 18th at 7pm at the Depot to get the book and get it signed by the man, the myth, the legend himself!

Our current exhibit is Dylan Cavin's "Bearing Witness", exploring the layered relationship between identity, history, and land through the lens of contemporary Native experiences, drawing from the visual language of ledger art with historical documents - carrying the weight of record-keeping, ownership, and erasure. Figures, animals, and symbols suggest stories that exist beyond what was officially documented showcasing the tension between preservation and loss - what is remembered, what is omitted, and how those narratives shape our present.

This show will be displayed until June 27th, with the closing reception and artist chat taking place during 2nd Friday Art Walk on June 12th. You can browse in person during Gallery Hours Wednesday-Saturday 8am-2pm and online on our Gallery Shop.

The Depot will host the closing exhibit for The Art of Dylan Cavin: "Bearing Witness" in conjunction with 2nd Friday Norman Art Walk on Friday, June 12th from 6pm-9pm. Dylan’s work explores the layered relationship between identity, history, and land through the lens of contemporary Native experience. Our Executive Director, Shari Jackson, will be interviewing Dylan Cavin on Friday, June 12 at 5pm before the closing reception of his exhibit "Bearing Witness.".
