"Norman Family Theatre (NFT) will host a free
Improvisation Skills Workshop on Tuesday, March 24, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Norman East Library Community Room. The event is open to all skill levels, though minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

NFT board member and workshop coordinator Ava Carmack said the session welcomes everyone from seasoned performers to first-timers looking to try something new.

While improv is typically associated with acting, its benefits extend well beyond the stage. NFT founding board member Cody Clark said improv is the art form he draws on most in everyday life.

Carmack said the practice has helped her communicate more freely and think on her feet, skills that translate to all kinds of social situations.

Founded in 2017, NFT produces two to three shows a year and focuses on affordable, family-friendly theatre. To learn more or join the newsletter, visit facebook.com/NormanFamilyTheatre."

Admission: adults $10, students and seniors $5, Children under 13 free!
Come out and have some Halloween fun with NFT!
