“My favorite memories of orchestra are small circumstantial things. Like last year when Ms. Wagner cued us in to play Dance, but it was her birthday, so we played Happy Birthday instead. Also playing really silly things like Oklahoma where we shout “yeow” at the end, and laughing about poorly written sight reading pieces. I don’t have many stand out memories because it’s the everyday nature of orchestra that I like. It’s less like a class and more like escapism in the middle of the day, which is why I love doing it.”
