Rose Rock Habitat for Humanity Announces 6th Annual Common Grounds Coffee Festival
Norman, Oklahoma | March 6, 2027
Rose Rock Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce the 6th Annual Common Grounds Coffee Festival, taking place on March 6, 2027, in Norman, Oklahoma. The festival will be hosted at its exciting new location, the Thurman J. White Forum Building, 1704 Asp Avenue, Norman, OK 73072, providing expanded space for attendees, vendors, sponsors, and community partners to gather for one of the region's most anticipated community events.
More than a coffee festival, Common Grounds is a celebration of community. Coffee has long served as a gathering place for people to sit down together, share stories, build relationships, and spark new ideas. The Common Grounds Coffee Festival embraces that spirit by creating a space where neighbors, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, artists, and business leaders come together around a shared purpose: strengthening communities through safe, affordable housing.
The festival features coffee tastings from some of Oklahoma's finest roasters, handcrafted goods from local bakeries, artwork from talented regional artists, and support from sponsors representing communities across the state. The new venue reflects the continued growth of the festival and creates even more opportunities for connection, collaboration, and community engagement. What begins over a cup of coffee often grows into meaningful partnerships that continue long after the event ends.
Those partnerships, along with funds raised through the festival, directly support Rose Rock Habitat's mission of building stronger communities throughout Cleveland and Pottawatomie Counties. Proceeds help fund the construction of affordable homes for local families, provide emergency home repairs for homeowners facing critical needs, and expand Aging in Place programs that allow older adults to remain safely, independently, and comfortably in their homes.
Since its inception, the Common Grounds Coffee Festival has become a powerful example of how communities come together to create lasting impact. Through the generosity of sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and attendees, the festival has helped build relationships and partnerships that continue to strengthen Rose Rock Habitat's work throughout the region. These connections transform conversations into action and shared values into tangible results for families in need.
"Coffee is community," said Kendra Martin, Director of Donor and Community Engagement. "It brings people together in a way few things can. Every cup shared, every partnership formed, and every ticket purchased helps create stronger neighborhoods and brighter futures for families across our service area. Common Grounds is proof that when a community comes together around a common purpose, incredible things can happen."
As housing challenges continue to affect families throughout the region, support from events like the Common Grounds Coffee Festival remains vital to expanding access to safe, affordable housing, preserving homeownership, and ensuring that seniors can age safely in the homes and communities they love.
