An observation of our respective adopted perceptions of reality and the possible process of self reflection. We live in a highly capitalist society. Capitalism informs our decisions in terms of consumerism, societal norms and trends that we follow, communities that we partake in and etc. as a result, we reluctantly stay in environments in which we do not belong. Possibly why depression, addiction, and anxiety are at an all-time high. breaking free from these norms takes a process of self reflection and moral judgement that takes an immense process of mindfulness and possibly isolation from the systems we are used to. The question is, can we have enough self awareness to break free? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Final outcome vs. reference photo. This one is definitely going to be released as part of my NFT drop. Playing around with references to come out with a new creative outcome is always nice, and it’s also a learning experience! I started this in the summer but I never finished it till now but here it is, animated and everything. I’m happy with the outcome.

Animated on , to be minted as a polygon NFT on (environmentally friendly)🙃

I don’t exactly know what I was trying to achieve with this painting but I feel like it has something to do with mindfulness. How when you are angry, or frustrated, you are not in tune with your energy. Mindfulness comes from a moment of stillness, and it is in that stillness that you are at your most powerful state of being. In this state, possibilities are endless. The black crow represents the gaze of life, on your shoulders your companion until the end of this journey.

This was the highlight of my semester! I didn't get to graduate but I got to see my favorite person do it! I love you and I'm proud of youuuu
We've been moving for the past 3 days so this post is a little delayed but I guess I thought an update would be necessary considering how long of a hiatus I've been on since I was REALLY doing art. The semester is finally over and I have obsessively finished it with a 4.0 (another reason why I have been gone). But no obligations means more art and I'm excited for this journey!

‘Mindful Dreamer’ • putting your ideas out there can be so daunting. Living on its own can be so daunting. I’ve been thinking lately about the psychological impact COVID has had on my life... and the life of many others without us even realizing it. Spending our day glued to a screen,(Our education and work depends on it) imprisoned within the constraints of home. Feeling psychologically exhausted and drained from being in the same place at all times, drowning in negative thoughts. You have to remind yourself to pull yourself out. The simple act of mindfulness, especially during this era of estranged lively-hood, is what can make all the difference between living and passing through.

Some post-production shots from my 3rd year Architecture Studio 6 final project at the University of Oklahoma. We were required to design a housing complex located in Tecate, Mexico. What do you think about my proposal? 👀 This semester has been difficult, especially with our studios being online and us not being exposed to the same constructive environment as we would be in an in-person class but I’m happy with the outcome!
