Missy is a Professor of Theatre at the University of Illinois Springfield. She holds an MFA in Acting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a BFA in Drama Education from the University of Texas at Austin, and is an associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. She has also taught at Cornell University, the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, and Illinois College. UIS Theatre directing credits include: Twelfth Night, Stop Kiss, Silent Sky, How I Learned to Drive, Distracted, and Machinal. She has presented workshops for Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC), and the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (ACTF). She currently is the Region 3 Chair for ACTF.
