Grab a seat at the bar and learn about one of the brilliant writers of the One More Round bar plays! Cheers! 🍻🍹🍸🍷
Krystle Dellihue is a Detroit-based playwright and actor. She found her voice during the 2020 uprisings, compelled to write in response to a moment of national reckoning. Her work centers historically grounded, character-driven narratives rooted in Black life, community, and cultural memory. Krystle is a member of the Detroit Playwrights Lab and Extra Mile Playwrights Theatre, where she continues to develop new work in collaboration with fellow artists. Through her writing, Krystle seeks to uplift untold stories, interrogate history, and create space for complex, deeply human portrayals on stage. Thank you to Nomad Theatre for this opportunity and supporting new works. Thank you to the audience for supporting live theatre.
Play Synopsis: On the final night of a beloved Detroit bar set to be demolished, a young woman, Kara returns to say goodbye to the neighborhood staple. As the longtime bartender packs up decades of memories, Kara finds herself confronted by an unexpected voice—the bar itself. Through a series of vivid flashbacks, the bar reveals moments she’s never witnessed. Blending humor, memory, and magical realism, LAST CALL explores grief, legacy, and the spaces that hold the things we never got to say.
LAST CALL is part of the next Nomad immersive theatre experience at Smash House Tavern. "One More Round" runs September 11, 12, 18, and 19 at 7:30 p.m. and September 13 and 20 at 2 p.m. This production is generously sponsored by Chris Terven.
