✨ Cast Spotlight: Alicia Wolters ✨

Meet Alicia Wolters, the force behind all of the amazing lighting and sound cues. Alicia brings big theater kid energy, BMX chaos, and unapologetic fun to the cast 💥🎭

At 13, Alicia was into reading, theatre, BMX, skateboarding, and football.
Basically, equal parts artsy kid and neighborhood menace.

Her favorite song was 🎶 “Jump” by the Pointer Sisters, which honestly feels exactly right for someone who probably tried at least one dangerous stunt off a curb.

Her celebrity crush was Tony Danza because charisma never goes out of style.

And when it came to TV, Alicia was locked into Who’s the Boss?

When asked whether her 13-year-old self would be impressed with who she is today, Alicia answered yes, and her reason hit home.

“13-year-old me could not imagine living past 18, so she would probably be super impressed that we survived on our own!”

That same honesty and resilience is part of what she loves about Panties in a Twist. Alicia says she thrives in the chaos, collaboration, and camaraderie of the production process, especially working with the incredible women behind the show.

This year, she’s especially looking forward to the mini party that is each outro/scene change.

If Alicia could add an Olympic event, it would be “Anxiety Management”, which would be a TOUGH event to compete in this day and age.

Finally, Alicia wants the world to know that Black Votes Matter, Trans Kids deserve protection, No human is illegal, Science is real, and kindness is everything.

✨ Cast Spotlight: Launa ✨

Meet Launa, performer, producer, and six-time Panties in a Twist cast member bringing heart, humor, and just the right amount of unhinged energy to the stage 💜✨

At 13, Launa was into theatre, making up dance routines with friends, Hot Cheetos & Sprite Remix…and, in her words, “trying not to get into fights.” 😭

Musically, she loved anything by Destiny’s Child, Ashanti, and Murder Inc.

Her celebrity crushes were B2K and Lil Bow Wow because if you were outside in the early 2000s, you get it.

As for favorite TV shows at 13, she can barely remember, but at one point in her childhood, she loved MadTV and 106 and Park.
Fair enough.

When asked whether her 13-year-old self would be impressed with who she is today, Launa answered yes because she is doing the things she enjoys. She has a beautiful, intelligent daughter, and she is stable in her career.

And that same grounded gratitude carries into what she loves most about Panties in a Twist: “No matter how chaotic life may be, we come together for 8 or so-ish weeks, grind it out, and create a hilariously dope show year after year.”

This year, she’s especially excited about the musical numbers.

And if she could add an Olympic sport, it would simply be “resting”.

Finally, Launa wants the world to know that they need to support women in comedy and come to the show!

✨ Cast Spotlight: Courtney Richard ✨

Twelve years of Panties in a Twist and still bringing the laughs! Meet Panties in a Twist's Executive Director, Courtney Richard!

When Courtney was 13, she was deep in her Wayne’s World and Saturday Night Live era, fully embracing all things goofy, quirky, and just a little chaotic. Around the same time, she says she was slowly trading in her preppy persona for full-on grunge energy.

Her soundtrack back then? 🎶 “All Apologies” by Nirvana

And her celebrity crush lineup screams peak ‘90s heartthrob culture:
Leonardo DiCaprio, Kurt Cobain, and Luke Perry.

Younger Courtney always knew she wanted to perform, but was far too introverted and shy to imagine doing it the way she does now. Today, she says that the 13-year-old version of herself would be incredibly proud.

One of Courtney’s favorite parts of Panties in a Twist is helping build the show with a brand-new cast every year and watching performers have their big moments onstage. She especially loves seeing sketches finally land with the audience and get the laughs they deserve.

She’s most excited for the audience to join the cast for a silly romp through life.

If Courtney could add an Olympic sport, we’d all be competing in packing a moving truck to perfection📦😭

✨ Cast Spotlight: Rachel Gary ✨

Say hello to Rachel Gary, bringing sparkle, silliness, and chaotic theater kid energy to Panties in a Twist for her third year 💖✨

At 13, Rachel was fully living her best Y2K life listening to the Spice Girls and the Backstreet Boys, shopping at Limited Too, and, of course, there was… glitter. Lots of glitter.

Her favorite song was “Shake Ya Tailfeather”, which honestly tells us everything we need to know.

Rachel’s celebrity crush back then was none other than Orlando Bloom, because apparently every millennial girl collectively decided pirates were hot for a while.

Her favorite TV show was The O.C., and teenage Rachel secretly dreamed about performing and doing theater someday, but didn’t quite have the courage yet.
Now? She says her 13-year-old self would absolutely be proud that she finally went for it.

One of Rachel’s favorite things about Panties in a Twist is the camaraderie, the wildly talented cast, and all the giggles that happen both onstage and behind the scenes.

This year, she’s especially excited for the silliness of the sketches and the costumes that will gag everyone who lays eyes on them.

Rachel's vote for an Olympic sport would be self-checkout speed trials. She’d be a gold medalist!

Rachel wants the world to know that Pippen Scottie Mackenzie Gary is the best dog ever! 🐶
