Great opportunity with Virginia Musical Theatre! If you are participating in CBC this summer, we will have Frozen Workshops during the intensive! There is no need to sign up if you are attending CBC!!!

Thinking about auditioning for Virginia Musical Theatre's upcoming production of Frozen? ❄️

Join us for a FREE Audition Workshop on Tuesday, July 28, from 7–9 PM at 254 Granby Street, 3rd Floor, Norfolk.

Our Director, Music Director, and Choreographer will work through audition material, coach scenes and song selections, and share audition techniques to help you feel prepared.

While attending the workshop is not required and does not guarantee casting, the material covered may be used during your audition.

Frozen auditions are August 28–30, with performances October 9–11 at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts in Virginia Beach.

Wow!! We are so humbled by the overwhelming response to the Early Bird promotion. We don't advertise at all and at least 15 of the new young artists registered were referrals from veteran CBC families!!

Please register as soon as you are able to reserve your spot. If you are unable to do the full amount, there is a payment option and you can secure your spot by making the 1st payment in the installment plan.

Congratulations, Sean Dugan! 🎉

We’re thrilled to celebrate Sean Dugan, winner of the BroadwayWorld Central Virginia Award for Best Director of a Play for Almost, Maine with The Governor’s School for Arts.

Sean’s direction of Almost Maine marries the use of physical comedy to bring humor with compelling direction that brings poignancy to the more serious moments keeping the audience engaged and invested.

Sean Dugan has been a Resident Acting Teacher for CBC since our inaugural year in 2019!!!

Congratulations, Angela Brown! 🎉

We’re thrilled to celebrate Angela Brown, winner of the BroadwayWorld Central Virginia Award for Best Choreography of a Play or Musical for FOOTLOOSE with Virginia Musical Theatre (a co production with The Governor’s School for the Arts).

Her high-energy choreography brought Footloose to life and had the audiences on their feet. We’re so proud to have her as our Artistic Director this year! Angela Brown has been the Dance Director for CBC since our inaugural year in 2019!!!
