Originally founded as Logan’s Video Tape Center and Antenna Service in 1981, and changed to Chris Logan’s Call Video in 1994, Call Video and its iconic mural (painted by Denver’s talented Karl Reeder) are a staple of northeast Nebraska history. Call Video is the last video rental store in Norfolk, having outlived several in town, including Blockbuster, Movie Gallery, Hastings, Nebraska Appliance Center, Mid-City and even Hy-Vee. When Logan’s Video Center was founded in 1981, buying a single VHS cassette cost the store $99, and a single rental membership cost $100 a month! Fortunately, as home video came to every house in America, the costs went way down and now movie rentals cost, at most, a few dollars. Call Video also offers a large selection of movies on VHS, DVD and Blu-Ray as well as a large selection of video games on consoles ranging from the Atari to the XBOX. Stop in to see Chris or Roxanne today and experience a piece of local history!
