You know it’s a good day in the studio when you’re laughing like this.

Not because everything went perfectly.
Not because you nailed it on the first try.

Just because you’re in it with someone else, and it’s fun.

These are the moments that stick. 💙

Nothing brings pottery people together faster than a table full of fresh clay bodies 😄

The studio members spent some time testing out new Kentucky Mudworks clay last week, and let’s just say… opinions were formed immediately.

“The Dark Star.”
“Buttery.”
“Like butter.”
“Very smooth.”
“I’m excited about the speckle content.”

Honestly, listening to potters describe clay might be one of our favorite studio activities.

Now we wait to see how these test tiles and pieces fire 🔥

Today feels a little quieter.

At the studio, we spend so much time celebrating creativity, community, and connection, but Memorial Day is a reminder of the people whose sacrifice made those moments possible in the first place.

We’re thinking today about service, courage, and the families who carry both pride and loss at the same time.

From all of us at All Hands Pottery, we remember and honor those who gave their lives serving our country. ❤️💙

There’s a moment in pottery where people stop asking, “Is this right?” and start trusting themselves a little more.

You can almost see it happen.

A bowl gets picked up and turned in the light.
Someone studies the curve for a second.
Maybe they make one small adjustment… maybe they decide it’s finished exactly as it is.

Those quiet little moments of confidence are honestly one of the coolest things to watch in the studio 💙

Not every teen wants another summer packed with screens, sports, or sitting around the house.

Some just need a place to make something with their own hands.

This summer, teens ages 11–19 can spend five Wednesday evenings learning pottery with instructor Lindsay Roberts. Students will have the chance to explore both wheel throwing and handbuilding while creating pieces that are completely their own. Beginners are absolutely welcome, and students with experience will have room to grow too.

One of the things we love most about this class is the balance between learning skills and encouraging creativity. Lindsay brings 12 years of teaching experience and creates the kind of environment where students can experiment, problem solve, and build confidence right alongside their pottery.

All materials are included. Students just need to bring a sketchbook or paper and a pencil.

🗓 Wednesdays, May 27–July 1, 2026
⏰ 6–8 PM

⚠️ No class June 24

If you’ve got a creative teen who’s been wanting to try pottery, this is a great place to start 💙

Before the glaze, before the kiln… there’s this stage.

Fresh pieces lined up, still soft in color, still a little quiet. You can see the ideas, but not the full story yet.

It’s always interesting to pause here, knowing everything on this shelf is about to change.

“So many mugs, so little time.”

That pretty much sums it up.

The shelves are full, and the mug game is strong right now at AHP. Every piece has its own look, its own feel… and somehow they all make a case for being your new favorite.

You come in thinking you’ll just take a quick look… and next thing you know, you’re standing there like, “okay, but I need to see this one again.”

It’s a good problem to have.

We’re fully in our mug life era over here ☕️💙

You can tell when someone’s done this a few times.

Nothing rushed. Just small adjustments, steady hands, and knowing when to stop messing with it.

That rim didn’t happen by accident.

These tiny pieces take a lot more control than they let on. Not much room for error, but somehow they still come out this clean.

Always fun watching people do a double-take on these.
