Obviously we aren’t a venue anymore, but our beloved friends in Every King & Commoner hooked me up with a free ticket to see them play at Elevation27 tonight... and they not only gave us a shoutout, but also said my favorite 2&G catchphrase on stage in front of a ton of people.

Never forget the last time that Billy called the cops on us and got all our fun shut down, and we had to cancel a handful of future shows

I never posted this so I screenshot it... but honestly I feel like the world needs to see this, because I feel like you all never really got the whole story about why you all stopped getting to come have fun

The venue was shut down prematurely because lies were being told about us, and our neighbor was flexing imaginary power on our landlord, who caved to it as a way to resolve conflict (didn’t actually resolve anything, but just created a spicier new form of conflict, but whatever)... but at the end of the day, since we were not charging admission to our events, technically none of Billy’s “power” was valid, and thus our absence from hosting shows during our final months was not really in any way fair

Fun fact about all the stuff we have been doing here at 2&G

My landlord told me a few days ago, that there has been rumor passing around the neighborhood that we are running an illegal gambling ring out of our house... a little bit of music, people smoking cigarettes on the porch, and an “open” sign are the only things we have going on ever... and someone came up with the thought that the only logical explanation for those things was that we are running a trap house

We had a laugh about it because he has known the whole time that we were doing shows
