The Chrysler Museum Glass Studio is a 7,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility designed to complement the world-class glass collection in the Museum. The Studio features a furnace capable of melting 560 pounds of glass, three glory holes for reheating glass objects as they are being formed, five annealing ovens that slowly cool molten glass to room temperature and support mold-cast glasswork a

nd fusing, and a flameworking table with space for eight artists to work on projects including beadmaking and sculpture using glass rods and tubes. Audio-visual equipment enhances guests' ability to see free glass demonstrations by our Studio Team, assistants, and artists-in-residence. We are saddened to learn of the recent passing of William "Billy" Bernstein, a pioneering figure in the studio glass movement and a co-founder of the Glass Art Society. Over the course of his career, his work helped shape the contemporary glass community, and his influence as a teacher and artist reached generations of glassworkers.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who knew and were touched by him. 💙

Mark your calendars! 🗓️🔥We're welcoming visiting artist Danny White, aka Ethan Windy, to the Perry Glass Studio this August.

A fine arts graduate with over three decades of experience in painting, drawing, and glass, White brings a painter's eye to the hot shop, using color and composition to tell stories through the material in a way that is entirely his own.
