Mission
The mission of the Lionheart Theatre Company is to enrich, entertain and educate our community by making visual and performance arts accessible to the entire population. Vision
The Lionheart Theatre Company is the artistic, cultural, educational and performing arts center of Norcross – where great performances and events enhance and transform lives every day. We seek to nurture a vibrant arts community, foster artistic excellence, and inspire a creative exchange of ideas. The Lionheart Theatre Company, based in Gwinnett County, is a nonprofit, 501-3c, all-volunteer, community theater. Its history is rooted in the drama ministry at Norcross Presbyterian Church (NPC), where Tanya Gilmer has served as Artistic Director since 1994. Tanya, a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a BA in Theatre, has produced and/or directed numerous theatrical productions for both NPC and the Lionheart Theatre Company. Lionheart understands that affordable ticket pricing is especially attractive for folks who hope to find quality, family entertainment in their own back yard. Lionheart’s ticket prices include discounts for Seniors, Kids and groups, always featuring a homemade dessert and beverage as part of the ticket price. Lionheart gives back to the community in a variety of ways, having used productions to solicit contributions for Norcross Cooperative Ministries, Plant a Row for the Hungry and The American Diabetes Association, the local foster children's program and Relay for Life, among other contributions. Community theatre allows folks who have experienced the theatre in high school or college to put their skills back to work, while maintaining a day job and time with family. Adults and kids alike who have always wanted to give acting a try have a place in which to do it without feeling intimidated. There is something for everyone to do, from sewing to painting, building and baking, acting to searching for props. So come, join Lionheart , where we form bonds and memories that will last a lifetime. Business mailing address: 2159 Summertown Dr., Norcross, GA 30071
