Here are some tattoos that I've had the pleasure of creating with some amazing clients.

I've been feeling hopeful and excited about my new studio in Noblesville, Indiana, and I'm looking forward to making community.

It's definitely challenging being an entrepreneur, self-employed, and knowing that your entire career is resting on your own shoulders. "I am my own boss" is a great thing to be able to say. However, it comes with all the responsibility—There's no one out there to tell me when to be somewhere or what needs to be done, and oftentimes, it gets pretty overwhelming.

I recently had a major health scare and did not have unemployment benefits... it was a tough lesson as I had to dig deep into my savings to survive. Lessons learned, and moving on, only now I'm wiser, stronger, and more determined to succeed.

We can't control what life throws our way, but we certainly can control how we react.

In my humble opinion, the sternum is one of the more if not most intense areas to be tattooed. The energy produced in the process of tattooing this area will vibrate throughout the entire body. And in a rather unique way, it is felt as an almost indescribable feeling of pleasure and/or pain. I can not tell you if this particular area will hurt for you during a tattoo. In fact, I can't tell you if any area will hurt because the sensations are so different from one individual to another. I've had people cry, laugh, moan, scream, and or**sm in every color of the emotional spectrum while receiving a tattoo with me.

Regardless, it is an undeniably transformative experience for everyone who takes the journey. It does not matter the size, detail, or color of a tattoo, they are all special moments for me. And I am honored by all the trust and vulnerability that is given to me by all the clients who have graced me with their presence in my studio.

These are the first five tattoos that I did back in 2006 when I began my apprenticeship at a small tattoo shop in Nacogdoches, Texas. The shop was a barely legal, barely clean little studio setup in a double wide trailer that doesn't even exist anymore. I've come so far in my tattoo journey and yet still have so much to learn about this unique and beautiful art.

I've since migrated away from working in traditional street shops and have discovered that I prefer the more personal setting of a private studio. In these more intimate spaces, I am able to give my clients the attention and experience that I feel they truly deserve.

To me, a tattoo is more than just an art. It is a transformational ritual, and through the setting of very mindful intention and ceremony, I believe the true power of tattoo is manifested.

This beautiful Shakespeare quote reminds us that a name is just a label to distinguish one thing from another.

We all face and even carry many labels in life. Some we give to ourselves, some are given to us by others. However, in the end, labels are simply labels—They're not even real, and we can decide which ones we want to play along with and which ones we will discard... That's right, labels are simply a performance. And life is a stage!
