My first video in what feels like ages goes live this evening!

It's a brand new series I'm starting that takes you through making weeknight meals easier by prepping ingredients ahead of time.

The first video in the monthly series walks you through all the prep you need to make cooking during the week a breeze. Videos 2-4 show you how to cook the meals you've prepped for. And there is a free printable if you want to follow along at home! I'm super excited about it!

When I started the Nan Loves Food YouTube channel two years ago, I had a rough idea of what I was going for.

The primary goal was to make weeknight cooking easier- especially for busy professionals like myself.

Since my pregnancy/ having a newborn kind of put me in time out (aka- eating, sleeping, and breathing were all I had energy for) I had a lot of time to sit and think about how I wanted it to grow.

For the last three months I've been sneaking in pockets of time to build out my vision. There is a new website. This new series on YouTube. And a meal planning workshop that will go live in February!

It's super exciting to take these things I've been envisioning and bring them to life!

Roasted off some extra veggies- tomatoes, peppers, and onions.

I wanted to roast some fresh garlic too, but the garlic I had on hand had gone bad. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Now the question is- should this be soup or pasta sauce? It'll be delicious either way!

This is one of the 3 meals I prepped in my YouTube live last night. They are a cheater Birria taco and dang they were delicious!

And, because I did the prep before hand it took about 15 minutes of active cooking time. About 2 minutes to dump everything in the slow cooker and just a few minutes to dip and warm the tortillas.

So stinking good!

If you want to eat like this regularly (without weeknight stress)- I'd highly recommend you subscribe to NanLovesFood on YouTube! 😉

Soaking in the last few days of garden beauty.

Two of my favorite zinnias of the day (probably both cross breeds) and my stunning roses. I bought 4 rose bushes from Costco and they have rewarded me with stunning blooms like this all summer. 😍
