Art by Becki Thomas I am an Artist! I am a Watercolor Artist. I picked up a paint brush for the first time in 2016. My Moto is: Color Your World With Art

Before that I was trained in Interior Design and I continue to be an avid photographer. My inspiration comes from my surroundings as I divide my time between Maine, New Mexico, and Florida. As each location is so unique, this brings diversity into my artwork. Within this artwork, you will find flowers, animals, architecture, portraits of people, and folk art that reflects each place. What these pa

inting have in common are Bold, Bright, Colors that hopefully bring joy to those who see them. My designs can be seen on kitchen items, lampshades, coasters, tissue boxes, shower curtains and mural tiles to name just a few. I am associated with various websites that produce these products for me.

Back-to-school season is not only for families with students. It changes the rhythm of entire communities.

Schedules tighten. Evenings get shorter. People start thinking about focus, routines, and the spaces where daily life happens.

That makes August a useful time to look at your walls with fresh attention. "Nopal Farmhouse" may be the kind of work that helps a room feel more intentional as the season shifts.

Mexican Doves

These Mexican Doves are in painted in the likeness of an Otomi Embroidery pattern. White doves are considered symbols of peace and tranquility, offering feelings of purity and innocence. They remind us that there is still goodness in the world – even in the midst of chaos, uncertainty, and fear. I find the colors in Mexican embroidery bring joy to me and I hope this painting does the same for you..

I'm seeing a lot of artists celebrating World Photography Day today and wanted to join in on the appreciation!

It's a celebration of the way artists preserve moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed. Every work of art begins with the same simple act: paying attention.

Artists notice the light, the atmosphere, the emotion, the relationships, and the everyday moments that many of us walk past without a second thought.

"Geraniums and the Organ Mountains" is part of that tradition. Thanks for taking a moment to reflect with me today.
