In an effort to be as transparent as possible, we would like to address a situation that occurred this weekend regarding carnival wristband pricing.
The Noble Chamber of Commerce contracts with a company to produce a carnival every year at Rose Rock Music Festival. The Chamber receives a contracted percentage of ticket sales. The contract states we must sell the pre-sale wristbands at $30 and bands at the carnival will be $35. As per our contract, we also receive a higher percentage from presale bands than those sold on site.
Once the festival was well underway, our committee was made aware that discounted wristbands were being sold for $25 at the carnival. As stated earlier, this pricing was not part of our agreement. Upon hearing of the pricing change we immediately addressed it with the carnival. We have been assured this will not happen next year and steps have been put into play to assure such.
The percentage we receive from wristband sales directly supports the Noble Chamber of Commerce and helps fund community events throughout the year, including Fall Festival, Candy Canes & Carols, Christmas in Noble, and other local programs we are proud to host.
We understand this may have caused confusion, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
We appreciate your continued support of our events and our community. đź’™
