Summer Sounds

Summer Sounds Summer Sounds is a community band concert series, held at Mystic River Park, Cottrell Street, Mystic, CT. at 7PM Tuesday evenings from June 9 - August 5, 2026

Hosted by the Noank-Mystic Community Band, Summer Sounds is a community band concert series now in its eighteenth season. Concerts will be held on Tuesdays June 17 - August 5 at 7PM. Concerts are sponsored by area businesses and local civic organizations. Admission is free; bring lawn chairs /blankets.

Summer Sounds 2026 has wrapped up for the season. We would like to thank our participating music groups: Noank-Mystic Community Band, Mystic Pipes & Drums, Time & Changes Jazz Orchestra, As Time Goes By swing band, Thames River Big Band, Old Lyme Town Band, Middletown Symphonic Band, Waterford Community Band, Westerly Band, 102nd Army Band of the CT National Guard, and Klezmenshen klezmer band.

Unfortunately, we had three concerts rained out, and were unable to reschedule Old Lyme Town Band and Waterford Community Band. Hopefully, the weather will be kinder to us next year!

Many thanks to our loyal audience who came week after week. Ther is nothing better than to perform in front of a large appreciative crowd!

Next year will be our 30th season! Look for us to start around the second Tuesday in June.

Thanks to the 102nd Army Band of the CT National Guard and their Jazz combo for a stellar concert last night.
Join us tonight 8/5 for a Wednesday concert featuring Klezmenschen at 6PM and the Noank-Mystic Community Band at 7 PM. Summer Sounds 2026 is almost gone!

Coming down the homestretch now..

Next Tuesday 8/4 at 7 PM will feature the 102nd Army Band of the Connecticut National Guard. You don't want to miss them!

On Wednesday 8/5 (which would have been our finale) we will have at 6 PM Klezmenschen performing Klezmer music - "Jewish Jazz". Come early for a toe-tapping experience!
And a 7 PM the Noank-Mystic Community Band, conducted by Sue Johnston, will cap off another Summer Sounds series. This concert is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Mystic.

Due to all the rain -outs, we have added an additional concert on Tuesday, 8/11 at 6:30 PM. This concert will feature As Time Goes By swing band, who were rained out in June.
Many thanks to the Mystic River Park Commission for allowing us to add this concert on!

Here's hoping the weather holds for us to finish off Summer Sounds 2026!
