Nixon Lions Club wants to thank the Silent Auction donors: Rhenee Garmon, Howdy Hides Boutique, Justine Turberville, the Sewing Box, Foan Box, Country Boy Creations, Brett Box, Nixon - Smiley Education Foundation and Cody Box.

Thanks to our event sponsor Enbridge we had a wonderful night at the Camp House with Scott Sean White and the Phillip Wildman Trio raising funds for the Nixon Lions Club. We are so grateful for all of the folks who showed up, bought tickets and donated to the Fall FUNdraiser for this amazing organization. Including Brett Pattillo’s law firm, Anderson Cilfone. The brisket was delicious as were the sides by Pioneer BBQ. It truly does take a lot of folks to make things work and we appreciate all who made this possible. Next up for the Nixon Lions Club will be serving hotdogs to the community at Trunk or Treat on Monday October 26th by the High School Gym. Hoping to get their FB page out of Meta jail by then but we will try to keep updating for them. Again thank you Enbridge for supporting the Nixon Lions Club. And when you see one of the Lions club members be sure to give them a ‘Rawr!’ as thanks for all they do!

Folks we wanted to thank Enbridge for underwriting the Nixon Lions Club Fall FUNdraiser Concert at the Camp House. As you may recall Enbridge also helped sponsor the Nixon Lions Clib Fireworks Show this year. It is wonderful to have Enbridge as part of our community!! Oh and FB has put the Nixon Lions Club page on suspension for ‘impersonating’ an organization. Not sure how they came to that decision and that is still on appeal. So Camp House Concerts is posting thanks on their behalf.

The Concert is on!! We are ready to go tomorrow afternoon starting at 530.

Let’s talk about parking. It’s still soft in spots and for that reason, we can’t let anyone park inside the Camp House fence. You will see a couple of tracks, but we had to let the BBQ chefs in!

You can come in off CR 167 by the house and park along side the road before the cattle guard. Then walk through the side gate (not over the cattle guard). Or you can park by the house and we can shuttle you back with one of the UTV’s.

The pasture road from 1681 is an all weather road. It looks grassy, but it’s a milling base. Drove it today and it’s all good. If you come in that way, you can park along side the road and walk in. Then drive out by the house when the evening is over.

We just ask that you not get out in the pasture and rut it up.

If we are lucky and the sun comes out tomorrow, you will be able to park right outside the fence by the Camp House

But only the musicians and the pit masters will be able to park by the stage and Camp House.

We will have all tables off the grass as it is still a little soft.

Wear your casual clothes and footwear.

Expect small areas of standing water, a little mud, good music and great brisket!

October 3rd Concert update: Great rain! But Wet, Wet, Wet! Please keep checking back for entrance, parking and schedule changes, if any. Next 24 hours will be interesting! If we would have only knew that it would rain if we were scheduling a concert, we would have done it months ago! We still have ra**le tickets available.
