Beautiful Alaska. 🏔️🌅

There’s a moment each evening out here when the sky softens, the tide settles, and the mountains glow in that quiet Alaskan light.

From the shores of Ninilchik, the silhouette of Mount Iliamna rises across the water, catching the last colors of the sunset as the coastline stretches into the distance. It’s the kind of view that reminds you just how wild and breathtaking this place truly is.

This is the landscape that surrounds Sacred Acre, less than a 5 minute drive from the festival site. Where music, community, and nature all meet at the edge of the world. 🌊✨
Join us September 11–13, 2026 in Ninilchik.

The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) has faced widespread criticism for its lax environmental standards. While its name suggests strict regulations, environmentalists argue that the MSC certifies fisheries that engage in unsustainable practices, including over-harvesting and excessive use of plastics and fuel.
You’ve likely seen the “certified sustainable” blue fish logo—the MSC seal—on seafood products. Many assume this label ensures protection against overfishing. However, corporate greenwashing is rampant, and misleading certifications have allowed harmful fishing methods to be marketed as sustainable.
So, who is the MSC, and how did it become the leading authority on seafood ‘sustainability’?
Founded in the mid-1990s by Unilever and WWF following the collapse of Canada’s cod industry, the MSC aimed to shift sustainability oversight from ineffective government monitoring to the fishing industry itself. But from the start, the organization struggled. After nearly going bankrupt, it turned to corporate backing to survive. In 2005, Walmart became the first major retailer to commit to MSC-certified seafood, prompting other corporations to follow suit to maintain their “green” image.
As demand for “certified sustainable” seafood surged, the MSC’s standards weakened. A prime example is Canada’s swordfish industry, which received MSC certification in 2012 despite research showing that for every swordfish caught, five endangered bluefin sharks were killed as bycatch. Instead of acknowledging the impact, the MSC dismissed the research as incomplete, even though its own guidelines state that fisheries harming other species cannot be considered sustainable.
The system is broken. If we don’t demand true sustainability, we risk depleting ocean resources beyond recovery. We must act now! Sign the ‘Stop Wasteful Bycatch’ petition hosted by our partners - petition available in our bio!

✨ HEADLINER SPOTLIGHT 🔦

Tape B , born Kemal Berk Alkanat, is a dynamic force in today’s electronic music scene, merging the nostalgic vibes of old-school dubstep with contemporary bass music and hip-hop. Born in Turkey and raised in the U.S. from the age of three, Tape B brings a distinctive sound that captivates with a blend of nostalgia and modernity, termed “Old School x New School.”

His musical journey began at the University of Central Florida, influenced by early 2000s hip-hop and electronic pioneers like UKF and The Glitch Mob. His career took a professional turn after a revelatory experience at the Lost Lands Music Festival in 2019. Tape B’s rise to prominence was fueled by viral SoundCloud mixes and dynamic live performances, including his iconic “Yo, Tape B” tag, which has become a recognizable call throughout modern clubland and festivals.

With plans for a debut album that encapsulates years of sonic exploration and a desire to influence the hip-hop scene more profoundly, Tape B remains a vibrant and influential figure in electronic music. His commitment to innovation, community, and joy through music continues to drive his rapidly ascending career.

We can’t wait to welcome Tape B to Sacred Acre & Alaska for the very first time!
