~VGA Update~

As we move forward with renovations to our new facility we want to make sure everything we do is done correctly. Creating a safe environment for the youth is our top priority and restoring the property to be a place of positive influence for the community is the goal.

We have a LOT of work to do but we are making progress every day and will continue to update on our progress moving forward. For now we will be removing the remaining goods and old belongings so we can make way for our new plans.

Day 2: Gym renovation

Pew removal: Complete!

Starting this weekend we will be removing the tile flooring and restoring the concrete slab underneath for the VGA indoor court and gymnasium. We will be holding a variety of sports camps, leagues, open gym hours and various physical challenges and games.

Hello and good morning!

We got a little behind over the weekend with the website as I got extremely ill unexpectedly. I will be working on getting the website live this week and posting more pictures of the landscape.

We are a LONG ways from opening but will be showing the process from start to finish. We still have to wait out some time for renovating the church into our gym as we have over 30 15 foot long pews that we are trying to donate. If you know of a church or anybody who would like them let us know!

~Exciting Announcement~

The Video Game Academy has an official location for our facility!

Over the next few months in partnership with 4 Seasons Tree Service we will be renovating the old church located on the corner of Summit Avenue and Robbins Avenue. The Video Game Academy is a youth development center incorporating Academics, Athletics and Gaming to help inspire our future generations.

*The Video Game Academy is a non-profit organization.

I'll be posting some videos this coming week showing how everything will work come tournament day. This way, everyone can see how the tournament will function.

Depending on our outcome, we may have to set the matches in waves as to stager play times, to abide by Covid 19 guidelines for public gatherings. The Tournament room is well ventilated and we are taking precautions to make sure everyone has a good time.

Registration Update:

Sorry for the delay everyone, I have been working on a new base design for our official website. Instead of using a third party system for our tournaments we decided to make our own. Registration will take place on our official site.

I'll be creating the event page tomorrow since I want to have the registration available at the time of release.

Event Date:
Entry Fee is $25 and the date has been set for Saturday April 10th!

Good Morning!

We've decided the first tournament will be held in our DnD Room at our HQ!

This will give us the ability to stream the event live to Facebook and Twitch so anyone unable to attend can still tune in. It will also give us a chance to show off some of our ideas for 2021 and let people know what some of our goals are with The Stream House.

We will be posting the pre-registration forms today for both the Smash Bros and Mortal Kombat tournaments, so be on the look out.
