We are just under ONE WEEK AWAY from DEAR EVAN HANSEN, running June 11-14th!

Seventeen-year-old Evan Hansen has felt invisible his entire life. But when a tragedy shocks his community and thrusts him into the center of a rapidly evolving controversy, Evan is given the opportunity of a lifetime: the chance to be somebody else. As his web of well-intentioned lies begins to unravel, though, Evan is forced to confront the fact that the price of belonging may be far steeper than he bargained for.

Saturday, June 13th - 2:30pm (Understudy Performance)

All performances will be presented in the West Jessamine High School Auditorium.

This show is rated PG-13 due to language, innuendos, and the subject matter of mental health.
Viewer discretion is advised for students 12 yrs and younger.

Huge congratulations to West Jessamine High School student Allie Keck for an absolute powerhouse performance at the state level!

Allie’s painting didn't just win its category at the All State competition, it was awarded High School Best of Show for the entire state of Kentucky.

Jessamine County Arts is excited to be offering an elementary theatre camp July 6th-10th!
This camp is a 5 day training experience for your children to dive deeper into the world of theatre, gaining training in acting, dancing, and singing. The camp will be held at East Jessamine High School from 9-11:30am daily, with a short presentation on the last day of camp for families of the participants. The cost is $150, which includes t-shirts, crafts materials, and snacks for the week.
Once registered, you will receive an email with a link for payment.
The deadline to register is June 24, and there are only 20 spots available! Please fill out the following link to register:

Jessamine County Theatre proudly announces auditions for our upcoming production, Beauty is the Beast!

Beauty is the Beast

PRODUCTION DATES:
Thursday, August 13th - Sunday, August 16th

REHEARSALS:
Rehearsals will begin on or around July 20th thru August 7th. Technical rehearsals will be August 9th-12th. During technical rehearsals, no conflicts are accepted. If you have any questions regarding the rehearsal calendar please contact Nicole or Amy at the contact information listed below.

ABOUT AUDITIONS:
For this casting call, the creative team will only be accepting video audition submissions. Auditionees are expected to submit a video audition by Friday, May 22nd at 11:59pm. This video should include a slate (name, pronouns, and introduce the monologue you are presenting), and a 60-90 second monologue (while the show is primarily a comedy, any style of monologue will be accepted). If called back, callbacks will be held Thursday, May 28th from 4:00pm-7:00pm. If you have any questions submitting any materials, please let us know!

CASTING:
All auditions are open to Jessamine County High School students, this includes incoming Freshman and outgoing Seniors. No roles have been pre-cast. Jessamine County Arts and the Creative Team of Beauty is the Beast welcomes all age-appropriate students to audition for this production.
