Violinists: if you or anyone you know are in the market for a bow, one of the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra violinists just did an upgrade and is selling the bow she absolutely loved for 15 years to help with her new investment. It's a Prefschner bow, circa 1950's/60's, silver mounted, pernambuco. GREAT condition and it's going to be hard to part with because she loves it so much! She is asking $2K for it but may take any really good offer and she's here in the panhandle area (Pensacola) if you'd like to see/play it. Tomorrow night- concert free with donations at the door. The String Orchestra will be doing "For Crown and Country" (music by composers who wrote for royalty) and the Symphonic Orchestra will be doing "An American Salute" (American music to celebrate our nation's 250th birthday).

We are excited to share our photos of the NFSYO's side-by-side performance of Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra on their February "Stars of Tomorrow" concert. What a memorable night! Each youth symphony member sat next to a professional during rehearsal and concert and their star shone brightly that evening! Thank you to Maestro Todd Craven, NFSO Education Director Lynne Fehrenbach, and conductor of the NFSYO Symphonic Orchestra, Katie McGuire-Menges, for all of your support as well as the mentor musicians in the orchestra who guided the NFSYO students. Our NFSYO Jr. Strings, under the direction of Lynne Fehrenbach, had the absolute pleasure of playing for a wonderful audience at Hawthorn House in Air Force Enlisted Village yesterday for a Valentine's Day concert themed "Going to a Wedding!" Thank you, Northwest Florida Symphony Guild for supporting us so we can share our music with our community!
