I've been enjoying starting Season 2 of Mary Rose Feldman CZT's Auras to Zen series, using the recordings.
Here is the first, "A" featuring Sun by Hanna Shaw, a two "new to me" tangles -- Flydance by Annette Rumpler (who has so many patterns I love) and my variation of Boucle by Cheryl Moote.

Though I enjoy making more complex, and colorful tiles, my heart is often drawn more to the elegant beauty and simplicity of the simple tangling of fun patterns in black and white. So the Auras to Zen series is right up my alley.

This was her May bonus tile for her Mindful Marks group and I love it so much just the way she did it that I didn't change anything about it except I used watercolor instead of chalk on this one.
Loved it so much I've done another with chalk and a few changes, and another larger 4x4 with watercolor and gave one to a dear friend.

So good to be back with all my many tanglling friends in Shannon Flynn's Fabtangling Fun group last night . I strayed a good bit from what Shannon led, but enjoyed myself and needed it! Shannon is such a great teacher! I'd like to also try her ideas for the border too, if I get time. Thank you Shannon! 🥰

The center is what Shannon calls "Clownflower" which she shared with us, noting that she drew inspiration from Amy Cunningham ( I believe). I used ambler/emingle in the border.

I liked Eva Wu's video that I did last week so much, that I couldn't resist drawing something similar to another example she had shown on her screen. I used a gray tile, a bit different shading and patterns. It passes my smile test. 😀 (They almost all do! - LOL) Thank you Eva.

Haven't tangled in a while due to some life stuff including hand surgery on my tangling hand. Happy to be back, though still coming back slowly.
