Today, on Irei no Hi (ๆ
ฐ้ใฎๆฅ), we remember the lives lost during the Battle of Okinawa and honor the resilience of the Okinawan people.
This performance of Sagaribana reflects on both beauty and impermanence. The sagaribana flower blooms in the night, filling the air with its fragrance, only to fall by morning. Its brief life reminds us to cherish each moment and each person we hold dear.
As we remember the past, may we also embrace the Okinawan message that continues to guide generations:
Life is precious.
