I have been fascinated this spring by all of the gorgeous Ospreys here on the CT coast. So, I decided to paint one and it’s going to be a larger piece! Here is the very beginnings of this 18x24” piece.

I am so excited to share that I now have some of my artwork on display right in downtown Niantic CT!

I have prints, a few original paintings, greeting cards and more on display. There are so many amazing and talented vendors on display there so if you are ever in or near Niantic stop by and check out Wilks Works.

You will also want to stop right next door. These shops are mother/daughter owned and are full of so many fun items. Niantic has so many fun and unique local businesses, I love our community!😀

Flower Art! Last night Bill came home from work with this beautiful bouquet for me! He has a coworker whose wife is a florist and grows these at home in New London. Lydia is so talented and sweet! This was the best surprise and my puppers approved!

Fresh off the Easel is my “Book Barn Goat” painting!

2 things I love a lot are animals and books. So it makes sense that after moving to Niantic this winter the has become one of my family’s and my favorite places! And it’s literally just down the road from our home, even better!

I could be entertained by the 4 goats there all day! I still for the life of me can’t remember their names (some days I can’t remember my own🤣) but this one is the only female. She loves her Fisher Price play set in their yard and being fed carrots, then again they all love their carrots! This goat is so fun to capture in photos, plus she has cutest underbite! As the owner of Shih Tzus, I love a good underbite! I have waaaaay too many photos of her and the other 3. This photo was taken right after she finished a carrot and she was licking her chops.😆

There will most likely be more goat paintings coming with all the photos I have and the many more that will come. I hope you enjoy this silly cute little goat painting. If you are in the area you should visit the Book Barn, it’s literally chock full of so many amazing books of all genres at fantastic prices! 🐐

Niantic has captured my heart! We had a bit of a rough start with losing our oldest fur baby right after we got here and more snow than they have seen here in years but we’ve come to a good place! Niantic and I have become good friends.😀

From the minute we moved here the beach became my comfort and happy place that gave me peace. Even in the winter it was where I would find myself when I needed to find peace, collect my thoughts, take a walk or just be. Thankfully it’s just down the road and there is rarely a day I don’t find myself at one of the beaches, just because!

When we first moved here I couldn’t get past being in such a small town where everyone knows everyone. I found it charming and beautiful but I was used to a bigger area where while you run into people you know from time to time, it wasn’t a regular occurrence for Bill and I. But I’ve come to love that about this beautiful place and everyone is so friendly in our cute little town! Now I can’t imagine moving away from this place, it really has become home in a short time. It makes my husband very happy since he’s loving being back in New England, loves his new job here and has been wanting to come back to New England for years.

We are loving it so much that we will be closing on a house here in Niantic in a little less than 2 months and the best part is it’s even closer to the beach which I didn’t think would be possible! In the meantime, I’m still painting and creating and taking commissions if you wish to commission me!
