This piece means a lot to me as an artist because it represents growth 🖤🐾💎
Anybody who has followed my work for a long time knows that my heart has always belonged to bold color, watercolor tattoos, florals, and abstract creativity. That’s where I feel the most at home. But as an artist, you can’t grow if you stay inside the same comfort zone forever.
When my client came to me wanting this beautiful leopard piece with realism elements and gemstone details, I could’ve easily said no because realism and animal portraits aren’t usually my lane. But instead, I challenged myself. I trusted my abilities, trusted my years of experience, and pushed myself to create something different — and honestly, I’m proud of myself for it 🔥
Growth doesn’t happen by playing it safe.
Growth happens when you take risks.
Growth happens when you doubt yourself a little bit but still decide to try anyway.
That’s one thing tattooing has taught me over the years… every tattoo is another lesson, another level, another opportunity to evolve. I’ve spent years building my craft, learning color theory, understanding skin, mastering flow, fixing mistakes, learning patience, and finding my own artistic identity. And even after all these years, I’m STILL learning every single day 🎨
The eyes on this leopard were everything to me because I wanted them to feel alive — powerful, feminine, calm, but intimidating all at once 👀
And the gemstone lotus crown tied the whole piece together perfectly with that elegant purple glow 💜✨
I think a lot of people forget that tattoo artists are constantly evolving. We’re not machines. We’re artists. Every piece we do shapes us into something better than we were before. Sometimes the tattoos that challenge you the most end up becoming the ones you’re the proudest of.
Thank you to my client for trusting me enough to step outside my normal style and create something beautiful together. Moments like this remind me why I fell in love with tattooing in the first place 🖤
