Congratulations to TNT alum Dominic Townsend on his many achievements including receiving the prestigious Kovner Fellowship to Juilliard! This award is a full scholarship covering all tuition, room and board as well as additional money to cover performance costs. Bravo Dom!

Distinguished Lew-Port Music Alumni Announcement

Dominic Townsend, a 2022 graduate of Lewiston-Porter, is quickly establishing himself as a rising talent in the world of classical vocal performance. Now a senior at SUNY Fredonia, Dominic has dedicated his collegiate career to studying vocal performance with a focus on operatic repertoire.

Dom’s hard work and artistic growth have recently been recognized with the prestigious Fredonia Performer’s Certificate, an honor awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional musical achievement and performance excellence.

Adding to his growing list of accomplishments, Dominic was named the winner of the 2026 VanderLaan Prize, an undergrad collegiate opera competition, a significant achievement that highlights his promise as a young opera singer.

Looking ahead, Dominic Townsend is set to continue his musical training at The Juilliard School as a Kovner Fellow—one of the institution’s most distinguished and competitive scholarships. This opportunity will allow him to study among some of the world’s most talented young musicians while further honing his artistry on an international stage.

Congratulations Dominic! We are all so incredibly proud of you!
