A fundraising event hosted by Town Players of Newtown

Suggested Donation of $20 to support Town Players is encouraged

All are welcome to join us for this unique evening where we present a combination of prewritten pieces and ones that we will write during the evening.

NOTE: Subject matter might not be appropriate for young children.

MODERATED BY RACHEL BABCOCK

Introduction and discussion about SheSpeak the Language of Women.

Performances of the prewritten pieces

Then we will pair an Audience member, a writer and a performer to participate in our live writing experience. The audience member will share a story inspired by the theme “Breathe” where writer and performer will ask questions. This takes about 5 minutes, then the writer sits and writes her piece in 10 minutes, finally the performers are given their pieces and perform.

SheSpeak celebrates every woman and her story, individuality, unique voice, by embracing each other and every story through creative written and performed expression. We hold dear a space of non-judgement and joy as we listen to personal vulnerable and special experiences with each other and our audience.
