Marching Band Mini Camps next week!

Tuesday, May 26th and Thursday, May 28th
6:30–9:00 PM at the high school
Entry: Door 24 (by the driveway exit)

Band Parent Meeting: There will also be a brief Band Parent Meeting on Tuesday, May 26th at 6:30 PM in the music area.

The mini camps are a great opportunity for students to explore marching band before making a full commitment.

Sign-up deadline: June 8th.

Attached are a general information packet and a placement audition packet for students interested in auditioning for the drum line. Please note: Students don't need a drum line spot to participate in marching band. Students who are not assigned a spot in the drum line will be assigned to the front ensemble.

Marple Newtown School District has been named a 2026 Best Community for Music Education by The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation.

This national recognition is awarded to school districts that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to ensuring all students have access to a strong and meaningful music education. Receiving this honor once again reflects the value MNSD places on the arts and the important role music plays in a well-rounded educational experience.

This year’s designation is especially meaningful, as it marks the 12th time our District has received this recognition.

This achievement is a reflection of the dedication and collaboration of so many members of our school community. We are grateful to our music educators for their exceptional work, to our students for sharing their talent and passion, and to our staff, families, administrators, and community members for continuing to support music education across the district.
