Opening in June 2016, Angela Bates Dance Academy, is thrilled to offer quality dance training for children, teens and adults. Whether dancing for recreational or professional purposes, dancers will be trained not only in dance, but in life as well. All classes will be conducted in a positive environment while passing on the passion for the art of dance. Our staff will serve as excellent role model

There will be many performance opportunities for our students including a Holiday Show, End of the Year Recitals, Parades, Community Events, Festivals, Dance Conventions and Competitions, etc. ABDA offers a wide variety of classes including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop and more. There is something for everyone no matter what age, interest or ability.

Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! What an incredible day of dancing at our end of the year performances on Saturday!!! 💕💕 ALL of our dancers, from the youngest 2 year old dancing on stage for the very first time, to the graduating seniors dancing on stage for last time, were absolutely fabulous on AND off stage. We are SUPER proud of everyone on a great season and our hearts are so happy and full after watching them shine 🥰 We love you all so so much!! It was truly an emotional and memorable day. Being a part of your lives and dance journey is such an honor and pleasure. Congratulations everyone AND cheers to 10 amazing years!!!!! 🥳

Thank to all the parents/guardians who volunteered to help. We appreciate you more than you’ll ever know! Thank you to our audience members for all the love and support. 🫶🏻

Finally a huge shout out to our amazing teachers, choreographers, and staff members!!! We could never have such a beautiful and successful day of performances without you. Your pieces were truly wonderful and your dancers were fantastic!!! You are all so talented and creative and we are grateful for all you do for the studio and your students.

💕 Twas the Night Before Recital 💕

’Twas the night before recital, and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The costumes were hung in the closet with care,
In hopes that recital time soon would be there.

The dancers were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of perfect performances danced in their heads.
Their tights and their shoes were all laid out just right,
Ready to sparkle under the stage lights so bright.

They’d practiced for months and worked hard every day,
Learning their dances and finding their way.
Tomorrow they’ll smile and give it their all,
From the tiniest dancers to those standing tall.

So sleep little dancer, your big day is near,
Step on that stage with confidence, not fear.
For the joy of the dance is what matters most of all,
Now Merry Recital to all, and to all a great show!
