The Bauer Haus kitchen has come a long way! From the original space to the finished renovation, this was one of the most thought out parts of the entire home. To keep the character of this historic home while giving it a fresh, functional feel. And that was the goal in every room of Bauer Haus - never to cover up the history, but to honor what once was, and preserve its charm.

This custom, handmade floor medallion brings together the original dark wood floors found throughout Bauer Haus with the lighter wood used to redesign the staircase.

A small detail, but one that tells a pretty big story — honoring what was here while making room for what’s new. ✨
