Spring is just around the corner and we are getting ready for Porchfest 2026! Porchfest is an afternoon of free music performed outside of people’s homes. We welcome you to a community event to share the joy of playing and listening to music.

Newton Porchfest 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, June 6th, Noon - 6 PM.

Participate in Newton Porchfest as a:
Host: Sign up to host a band on your porch, lawn or driveway. Newton Porchfest will take place in Auburndale, Lower Falls, and Waban Center.
Performer: Are you a singer-songwriter, part of a jazz quartet, a rock band, a dancer? All forms of musical talent, all ages are welcome!
Volunteer: We'd love your help!
Donor: Newton Porchfest is funded in part by donations. Any and all donations are welcome.

Love the neighborhood? Love live music? Love community events?

Then join the planning committee for Newton PorchFest for 2026! I've been on the committee for many years now and have taken great joy and pride in helping put on this amazing event.

We're looking for new members to keep the event going strong.

The committee is a group of 5-10 people that make the event happen. The committee meets virtually once a month for about 45 minutes (more often as we get closer to the first Saturday in June when the event happens). Members of the committee distribute materials, publicize the event, create the performance schedule, ask for donations from local businesses, monitor our email and socials, and so on. We have a playbook for how to run the event based on many years of experience, so it runs very smoothly as a committee member.
