Patti In KY

Patti In KY Founded on May 5, 2013, originally highlighting Binghamton NY and beyond; the region, the people, the culture.

As of December, 2020, relocation to the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area for work and family has shifted the focus of this page. There is so much to love about our hometown and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, people tend to focus on what they perceive as negatives rather than on all the positives happening in this area. We can experience five straight days of the most glorious weather ever;

and there are still those who will complain - it's either too hot, too sunny or just too "whatever". In May, 2013, I had my fill of the constant negative vibes filling up my social media newsfeeds. It was time to join the ranks of several other community sites and speak up about all the wonderful little, big and in between things there is to love about Binghamton and the surrounding communities. In December, 2020, a move to the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area for work and family shifted the focus of this page. It has been a slow process getting acclimated and the surge in the pandemic has not been very helpful in that process. I invite you all on my journey as I explore my new community.

A few weeks back, I was able to explore the Newport Aquarium. If you ever find yourself in the Northern Kentucky area, I highly recommend it.

We are back up. Sorry it has taken so long. Blaming the delay on the pandemic surge.

Dear Binghamton,

Four and a half months have passed since I bid a physical farewell to you. My fondness; no, love, for you has not waned during that time. However, as Spring; the season of birth and renewal, sets up shop it's time to rethink the future of this page.

There is only so many re-posts that I can do ; especially with the area slowly reopening and events being organized for the year. Therefore, effective May 5th, this page will be unpublished in its current form. It will rise again with a new name and focus shortly thereafter. It is my hope that you will stick around to check out what I have in store for you. If not, I completely understand.

Finally, I cannot express how much the past 8 years has meant to me. It has been an honor showcasing the best that you have had to offer.

Hello from Kentucky! I wanted to take a moment and share these memories from last year's parade. Would never have imagined that 2020 Parade Day would have been my last one capturing. Hope all is well with you, Binghamton.

Binghamton celebrated St. Patrick's Day early under bright blue skies. Thousands came out for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade; more familiarly known as Binghamton Parade Day.

We define art on our own terms; whether it be a painting, a sketch, a play, a poem, a sculpture, and, yes, even a photograph. This is my art. It reflects how I see Binghamton and the surrounding area. Many of us go about our daily lives without taking the time to appreciate our communities' greatest assets - the people. We have some truly amazing members of our Greater Binghamton community You never know who or what I will be showcasing.
