1. Pain & Permanence✨
Choosing to sit with uncomfortable sensations helps strengthen our ability. The practice of trading pain for permanence for the sake of beauty and art teaches us that striving, challenge and endurance can be rewarding.
2. Meditation✨
The time with attention to all the sensations is a meditative practice. ~Breathwork: Breathing through discomfort can be empowering to your nervous system. When your in-breath is used to prepare you for the discomfort (acceptance) ~ Your controlled exhale imparts the opportunity to relax and cleanse, being in charge of what hurts.
3. Self Discovery thru Self Expression✨
Getting tattooed helps us get to know ourselves better. Taking those initial steps comes from a need to express parts of ourselves FOR OURSELVES. Working with an artist is an effort in co-creation that helps us solidify our Voice, our Vision & helps lead to Self Actualization over and over again. Getting tattooed is not “addicting” ~ i like to say it’s Perpetually Inspiring!

The physical act of healing becomes a poignant and personal thing to bear witness to. While also teaching what it means to be a good steward for other people’s Healing. ✨Practicing the arts of deep listening, safely inviting, mindfully creating for and carefully wielding the needles time and time again has taught me so much about my own Healing Journey.
