The 2026 Newport International Boat Show is Sept 17 – 20! Purchase your ticket online and support Save The Bay!
After you purchase a ticket, you will see at the check-out a “Save The Bay” donation page. Please select your donation amount, and this entire amount is given to Save The Bay.

Save The Bay staff and volunteers will be there all 4 days with an informational table. Please stop by and say hello! Plus, we’ll have a special 1-hour educational presentation on Climate Change and Ocean Acidification in the “Cruisers Classroom” on Saturday at 3 pm. Newport Boat Show attendees will receive Buy One Get One Free admission to Save The Bay’s Hamilton Family Aquarium, just show your digital ticket!

Shine on your crazy rare calico lobster!

Calico lobsters have a mixture of pigmentation that appear as blotches or spots throughout the body and occur roughly 1 in 30 million.

Why these rare colorations? At some point in the construction of the DNA that sets their pigmentation, something goes wrong in the DNA coding. The cells in these lobsters’ bodies are never told to produce any of the pigments that would create the safe camouflage coloration in their shell. Instead, some, or many, colors are completely absent, giving us beautiful, unique colorations made up of the remaining pigmentation.

Did you know that Save The Bay's Hamilton Family Aquarium is part of the national Museums for All program?

Aquarium admission is FREE for individuals receiving food assistance benefits. Present a valid SNAP/EBT card for admission for up to four individuals. Come back any time! There’s no limit to how often you can visit.

The national Museums for All program encourages people of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and develop lifelong museum-going habits. The program provides free or reduced general admission for individuals receiving SNAP benefits around the country. Museums for All is an initiative of the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the Association of Children’s Museums.
