Welcome to Newport Naked,
Our Newport based magazine is free and aims to strip down the Newport scene each season. In Newport Naked, you’ll find general information on the area, articles we find water cooler or barstool worthy and fun do-it-yourself projects that we know you’ll enjoy. All of our contributors have a Newport connection whether they’ve grown up here, relocated here or spent summers

in Newport, wishing they could be “year-rounders”. They all have a love for Newport – a place I’ve been fortunate to call home for many years. We hope we can help you in seeking out the “fun factor” of Newport, RI, regardless of the time of year. Being a “local”, it’s easy to tire of the same old scene, so we’ll take trips over the bridge and across the water to our surrounding destinations for quick and easy getaways– which are right around the corner. However, as many of you know, Newport is host to a bevy of celebrated events so we’ll of course include information on what’s hot - here and now. We’ll help you get out of your comfort zone and introduce you to the adventures we’ve painstakingly tested, tried out and in all cases, thoroughly enjoyed. You’ll also find some well-guarded secrets to finding bargains around town…good eats, where to cocktail and where to shop. If you feel like keeping it real at home, try out some of the local recipes we’ve collected and create your own party! Newport Naked is here to help you do just that! 🎅🏻🎄 💨 Please be advised that due to the inclement weather forecast for Friday, the Newport Illuminated Boat Parade hosted by the Newport Yacht Club, has been rescheduled to Saturday, Nov. 29, at 6 p.m.

Any organization, business, or boat owner that would still like to participate in the Annual Newport Illuminated Boat Parade is asked to REGISTER FOR THE BOAT PARADE ONLINE at https://form.jotform.com/252937437377066 by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28th.

Sip, slurp, and savor the best of Rhode Island’s coastal cuisine at the annual Newport Oyster & Chowder Festival, held on the historic waterfront at Bowen’s Wharf. Spend the weekend sampling freshly-shucked oysters and award-winning chowders from a curated lineup of Rhode Island’s top oyster farms and favorite restaurants.

With more than 75 oyster farms across the state, each shellfish offers a unique flavor profile shaped by its own corner of the coast. This beloved event is your chance to taste your way around the Ocean State and try a variety of local oysters all in one festive, open-air setting—a true showcase of Rhode Island aquaculture.

Enjoy live music, signature cocktails from our beverage partners, and a lively atmosphere under our signature striped tents.
