Newport Performing Arts Center

Newport Performing Arts Center The Newport Performing Arts Center (PAC) is the premiere performance venue on the Oregon coast. And All That Jazz! / T.J.

The Performing Arts Center (PAC) is home to a group of resident companies affectionately called the PACRATs (which stands for Performing Arts Center Resident Artist Teams). The Performing Arts Center Resident Artist Teams consist of community music, theatre, and dance producers who keep the facility busy year-round. It also serves touring artists, non-profits, for-profits, and individuals as space

permits. Resident artist teams currently include dance companies, including Dance! Hoofers, Newport School of Dance / Oregon Coast Ballet Company, and the Newport School of Artist Movement / Pacific Dance Ensemble; the Newport Symphony Orchestra; choral groups, including Central Coast Chorale and the Oregon Coastalaires; theater companies, including Coastal Act Productions, Porthole Players Ltd., Red Octopus Theatre Company, and New Visions Arts; the Oregon Music Teachers Association; and the International Film Series. The Performing Arts Center also serves as a venue for Shakespeare and theater camps for youth. Oregon Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA) manages the facility and is also the founding organization of the Oregon Coast Jazz Party, which began in 2004 and continues to thrive. Events in the three-day international celebration of America's only indigenous art form primarily occur at the PAC, with support from many businesses and sponsors, as well as over 60 volunteers. The PAC has two performances spaces, the Alice Silverman Theatre and the David Ogden Stiers Studio Theatre. The Silverman is a 398-seat, proscenium, stage theatre with a full range of technical capabilities and a state-of-the-art Meyer Constellation Acoustical System. The Stiers is a black box space which can be arranged to seat up to 80.

COMING SOON: Experience the 🌟magic🌟 of Metropolitan Opera - on screen in HD - at the Newport Performing Arts Center. Join us for Mozart's "Così fan tutte" on Saturday, October 10th at 10am. 🎭🎥

Mozart’s satirical comedy of fickle young love remains one of his most sublime creations. Phelim McDermott’s staging treats the opera to a colorful, inventive 1950s Coney Island theme. Set at a boardwalk amusement park, the uproarious story sends two pairs of lovers on a wild, emotional thrill ride. Soprano Federica Lombardi and mezzo-soprano Samantha Hankey sing the roles of Fiordiligi and Dorabella. They star opposite tenor Duke Kim and baritone Andrey Zhilikhovsky as Ferrando and Guglielmo. Bass-baritone Gerald Finley reprises his portrayal of the cynical Don Alfonso. Soprano Ana María Martínez joins them as the witty maid Despina.

Following their global phenomenon "Prima Facie," Suzie Miller and Justin Martin reunite with this searing examination of modern motherhood and masculinity. This ‘simply superb’ (Financial Times) play features Olivier award-winning Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) and music from Erin Le Count and Jakwob.
